Earlier this month, our managing attorney, Yaser Ali, hosted U.S. Senator Jeff Flake along with his wife Cheryl and two of his sons at the Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley in Scottsdale. The Senator’s historic visit–a first for a sitting U.S. Senator to a Mosque in the Valley–was a powerful expression of solidarity with the Muslim community at a time of increasing anti-Muslim bigotry and a refreshing reprieve in an election season of so much negativity.
